History

The Imaging Sciences Laboratory started activities in 1990 within the Electric and Computer Engineering Department at the Universidad Nacional del Sur, pioneering research and teaching activities in Image Processing, Computer Graphics, and Scientific Visualization in Argentina. Since then it engaged several professors, researchers and PhD students, and also visiting scholars and international interns, in cutting-edge research activities and technological developments for third parties.

About us

The Imaging Sciences Laboratory is a research and development center with broad expertise in image and video processing and analysis. We reserarch and develop general purpose image processing and analysis systems as well as reliable customized solutions for scientific and industrial purposes. Our portfolio includes a broad spectrum of projects and knowledge from different fields of science and technology involving images of all kind of modalities (optical, multi- and hyperspectral, medical, natural interfaces, and many more), the analytical and intelligent software required to interpret and to fuse the information with other data sources, and when required the hardware and embeded software for autonomous operation.
